Falling Stars (A Nature Poem)

I’d like to share a poem I wrote called ‘Falling Stars.’ It was published in a fantasy poetry book of mine called Feathers, Dreams and Faerie Wings, which is currently out of print.

Falling Stars

A silent sky and rays of light,
the firmament’s evening sight.
Beams illuminate the dusky night,
an expression of gentleness and might.

She watches them from far below,
a lady grey-haired, crowned with a bow.
There promises to be an awesome show,
as stars fall aglow.

Hundreds of lights shimmer, awakening;
a waterfall of stars softly twinkling.
She hadn’t envisioned these wonders illuminating,
the velvet backdrop of night, crickets chirping.

Thanks for reading my poem. :) Stay tuned for more poetry in the near future.

If you enjoyed my poem, you could always sign up for a Medium Membership for $5/month. It would help support me and other Medium authors.
