The Feline Wanderer (A Cat Poem)
I know I’ve been absent for a while, but I’m finally back and ready to share some more poems and stories with you. :)
This is a new poem of mine called:
The Feline Wanderer
Twilight brought a pleasant glow,
that made the burgeoning starlight flow.
A white cat quickly trod,
through a woodland full of forest sod.
Her sniffs and scratches searched for prey,
that had been scared away.
She used her sharp yellow eyes to find,
what treats were left in forest kind.
The cat found solace in the depths of the forest,
content among the rustle of the trees.
She purred as she explored this new world,
tracing winding paths through brush and leaves.
The white cat came across a small pond,
and stopped to admire her shadowed reflection.
Peering into the shifting water,
each twitching whisker was perfection.
She wandered further beneath looming trees.
They appeared taller with each step.
The stars shone like diamonds in the inky black sky,
a chill breeze blowing low and high.
The white cat took her time,
entranced by the lure of the night sky’s embrace.
Knowing her journey was just beginning,
with many adventures (and mice) to chase.
Inching forward, she ventured deeper, fearing,
The unknown and where it might lead.
Where light was scarce and creatures lay,
this brave feline continued on her way.
The cat stared ready for whatever lay,
on her path and in her way.
She knew that mystery lay ahead,
and she hurried on seeing where adventure led.
