The Stars are Falling (A Poem)

Mara Amberly

--

This is a short poem I wrote tonight, that I thought I might share with you. I’ll let you figure out the meaning for yourselves, and whether it’s more positive or negative.

The Stars are Falling

Stars — falling in silken rivulets
Flaring to life
Yellow — Orange — Red
Not burning out, but lighting anew

Wracked by turbulent air
Rain-soaked but enduring
Powerful hearts of flame
Radiant as night turns into day

The Earth yields before them
Lights of the Cosmos
Evoking wonder and dread
In equal measure

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed my little poem. :) Stay tuned for more poetry here in the near future.
